Your vote matters

On Sunday July 21, 2024, President Joe Biden announced that he was withdrawing his nomination for the democratic presidential running and would not be seeking a second term. He within the hour then announced his support for Vice-President Kamala Harris to be the next candidate. No matter what side of the political landscape that you stand on, we all recognize that this is a historical moment for women in politics. 

Although Vice-President Harris is not the first woman to run for presidency, what makes her nomination historical is that she is the 1st woman nominee that is currently in the White House serving within a prominent political position. As the current Vice-President, she holds the highest position of all previous women candidates. This nomination could be a precedent change for women leaders in the United States. This nomination by no means guarantees a win, but what it will show is how WE AS WOMEN either support or divide our quest for equality. This election is MORE THAN a presidential election... this is a PIVITAL POINT within our centuries of fighting for EQUALITY!

We hear and understand the frustrations that some are feeling about our current political climate, however the decision to NOT VOTE does not help any of our growth. We are not here to sway your vote, our role to to ensure that YOU DO VOTE! If we as women can show record numbers of voter turnout, than whatever party that wins... will know that WE DEMAND OUR VOICES TO BE HEARD!
